1966

Park Air Electronics Formed

Park Air Electronics was formed by Fred Parker. Fred started the business to fulfill a demand for ancillary items to amateur pilots and radio controllers.

Sky Bandit Launched

Sky Bandit Launch: Modified Japanese receivers, the 'Sky Bandits' were used by aircraft and radio enthusiasts to listen to pilots flying overhead.

1971

Aeradio Purchase Park Air

International Aeradio Ltd purchase Park Air Electronics extending the reach of the business, giving it a global platform. Also this year the 1000R receiver was designed and the 16WSS scanning receiver launched for airline office use.

Product Portfolio Growth

In the next five years Park Air Electronics introduced a wide range of product including the 1200TX 25W VHF Transmitter and 1200R Receiver, MIRIC Fire Engine communication system, RCU C Controller for controlling 1200 Series equipment and 1700 Portable Scanning Receiver.

Awarded The Queen's Award of Export Achievement (the first of three awards) and launched the first PAE defence products: 2500/2600/2650 Receiver and drive unit.

3000 Series Defence radios launched and development begins on the 1590 Transmitter.

Northrop Grumman Becomes Park Air's New Owner

Northrop Grumman becomes the owner of Park Air Electronics and look forward to growing and expanding the communications business. Key launches in the following years include; 5000 Series Transmitter and receiver, Multi-Access Remote Control (MARC), 5000M Receiver and Transmitter. Park Air win the 1207 Contract for the Royal Navy

Worlds First VDL-2

ARINC contract for worlds first VDL-2 programme. Park Air develops bespoke radio to fulfill specific requirement.

T6 Series Launched

The T6 Series goes on to become the most popular product from the Park Air portfolio selling over 20,000 units across the globe. Still under constant development to maintain excellent performance and longevity.

Park Air contract to supply voice communication solutions to the UK and the launch of the M7 defence radio.

T6 MDR Launched

2008

Canadian Airspace Contract

NAVCANADA contract for total provision of ground-to-air communication throughout Canada's airspace. At the end of the first year NAV CANADA reward Park air with the Supplier Excellence Award

2010

VoIP Technology

Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) added to the range, making IP technology available to the range and future-proofing the Park Air radio.

ARC Launched

Park Air diversifies and launches Airport Realtime Collaboration (ARC), winning 'Innovation of the Year - InterAirport Europe' and 'Jane's Airport Review Industry Award' in its first year. Park Air continues its excellent customer service receiving the NAV CANADA Supplier Excellence Award for the seventh year.

2014

Park Air Sapphire Launched

Park Air Sapphire is a solution-driven portfolio of products and services aimed at providing ATC communication systems with components designed to ensure ease of purchase, installation and maintenance.
